Our B&B is centrally located to all of the attractions we recommend.

SNOWSHOEING AND CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: It’s easy to try, using our snowshoes and woodland trails just outside our door! (some cross-country skis are available to borrow.) Groomed trails are available for classic and skating-style technique at two areas located within 10 minutes’ drive. We also recommend Trapp Family for skiing - 45 minutes away, with dinner & perhaps shopping while right in Stowe.

DOWNHILL SKIING & SNOWBOARDING:
Our spot is central to 6 ski areas so you can choose the one with the best snow conditions and deals. We have discount coupons for some of them:
Bolton Valley - 25 minutes - Great family area & reasonably priced.
Mad River Glen - 30 minutes - An old-fashioned classic for skiing (sorry, no
‘boarders). Beginner to heartpounding expert trails. Best on a big snow day.
Sugarbush - 35-45 minutes - Two interconnected areas offer plenty for everyone.
Stowe - 45 minutes - Take it easy at the beginner area or blast down the legendary “Front Four” double diamond trails.
Smugglers’ Notch - 50 minutes - Perpetual winner of family skiing awards.
Jay Peak - 75-90 minutes - Always snowy, sometimes windy. All levels can enjoy the glades at Jay!

SLEDDING, ICE SKATING are available within 5 minutes.

You’ll enjoy your winter activities more if you’re comfortable — gear up properly! We’ll be happy to advise you what to bring or direct you to some great deals at our favorite local gear spots.
